I made sure that the training plan indicates what training is being done and when (it can be in the workplace, off-the-job or a wetsuit). The suspension of a training contract should not be used in place of stand-down agreements that can be provided for in the industrial instrument concerned. Note: A suspension is the appropriate process when a party is unable to meet its obligations under the training contract, in accordance with the above reasons. However, if an employer is unable to provide the apprentice with the training program, a temporary suspension of less than 30 days is the appropriate process. In this case, the employer should refer, through the employers` information sheet, to the temporary suspension of a training contract registered by ATIS-055. MLTSD uses this application to assess your eligibility for a registered training contract, under which you will receive training from a sponsor in a trade required as part of an apprenticeship program. With this application, you allow MLTSD to verify the information provided. You must contact an Australian apprentice network provider to sign a training contract. More information is provided by the relevant authority. Circumstances may arise when a party to the training contract (i.e. the employer or apprentice) is unable to accept a proposed suspension of the training contract on that date or to accept it knowingly.
If the employer and the apprentice or intern must accept the suspension of the training contract, they must give their consent on the departure and end date of the proposed suspension. To this end, ATF-037 was developed to suspend a registered training form. If the apprentice is under the age of 18, the parent or legal guardian (if any) must also present his signed consent on the form. They must provide hands-on experience in a large number of relevant tasks, covering all the skills defined in their training plan. The nominal closing date of the training contract is automatically extended to the suspension period. If the department decides to suspend the training contract, the start of the suspension period may not be less than 7 days from the receipt of the division`s request. MLTSD will provide your personal data, including contact information and registered training agreement, to the College, in accordance with Ontario College of Trades and Apprentice Act 80 (OCTAA) 2009, if the college needs to perform its duties.
